PROBATION AND DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE PROGRAMS
Through collaboration with the Long Beach Department of Probation and the District Attorney’s
Office, ARS is a key component to the ‘SHORTSTOP” program, a high-impact diversion program for
juvenile offenders and youth on the verge of delinquency.
Youth involved in Atlantic Recovery Service’s programs are eligible to attend these intense sessions as
participants. The client-participants are frequently eager to attend another SHORTSOP meeting, as
they receive many personal benefits from being a part of the program. We feel that it is very important
that the adolescents in our programs give back to the community and this program is a means to do
that.
