We offer a high staff to client ratio in an intimate setting which allows for individual
counseling and case management to meet our clients individual needs.
Atlantic Recovery Services (ARS) is licensed under the California Alcohol and Drug
Programs Administration. ARS has recently been chosen to provide services under
the California Access to Recovery Effort (CARE) program.
Staff Qualifications
Atlantic Recovery Services hires and trains only the most qualified individuals for
substance abuse treatment services. All staff members are Certified Chemical
Dependency Counselors and are qualified to provide drug and alcohol counseling to
clients. Additionally, all staff working with the adolescent population have been
fingerprinted and put through a complete background investigation facilitated by the
Department of Probation.
Program Evaluation
ARS utilizes the Government Performance and Results Act (1993) (GPRA) and
Global Appraisal of Individual Needs (GAIN) tools to assess incoming clients and
evaluate the program. The agency currently has two staff members qualified to train
on the GAIN tool.
The agency uses the Los Angeles County Participants Reporting System (LACPRS),
a tracking instrument provided by the Los Angeles County ADPA.
In addition to these instruments, the program is also evaluated through an annual
independent program evaluation.
Atlantic Recovery Services strictly adheres to the State of California Department of
Alcohol & Drug Programs’ Youth Treatment Guidelines in the facilitation of services
to adolescents.
